 READ MORE TO VIEW GALLERY & VIDEO The NSW fire brigade was alerted to a large fire in a block of apartments on Waterloo Rd, Marsfield at around 2.30am. Numerous triple zero calls were made reporting a third storey unit well alight. On arrival, flames were leaping into the night sky.·A 2nd alarm structure fire was initiated and backup crews were on route. Initial reports received stated that a person was trapped inside, but luckily all the residents had safely evacuated. The blaze was brought under control after·45 minutes. The fire is not being treated as suspicious and around 50 people were evacuated from their homes.
