Warnings were issued earlier today that a severe storm was on its way. Although no major damage was reported, there were a few isolated incidents.

SES were called to a tree that had fallen onto a house near Miranda & Fire Brigade were called to Potts Point when scaffolding collapsed onto two vehicles.

The large front moved from the west at around 5.00pm and continued its way though Sydney. At around 6.20pm just south east of Warragamba the storm developed a dangerous cell that indicated very large hail. However to date there have been no reports of serious injuries or damage to motor vehicles.

After the front descended on the Inner West, the storm started to collapse and spread out as it travelled out to sea.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for widespread damaging winds.
