At around 6.15pm Police from the Metro Regional Enforcement Squad attempted to arrest a male at his residence in Bondi.

Officers arrived at the front door of the apartment and made contact with the male, but were not let in and had to force entry.

Upon searching the residence he could not be located. Police heard moans from outside and discovered that he had jumped from the fourth floor.

A Neighbour from a nearby property heard the commotion and assisted with the search. Eventually the male was found hiding in a crevice of a nearby property.

With guns drawn, police secured the area and discovered he was injured during the jump.

The male was arrested for alleged break and enter, and bail offences.

The 38 year old needed specialised treatment due to his injuries and a number of Police rescue services arrived along with multiple ambulance crews.

He was carefully extracted and taken to St Vincent’s hospital where he remains under police guard.

His injures are not considered life threatening.
