![]() READ MORE TO VIEW VIDEO Emergency services were called to a construction site at Waverley Oval this evening after hearing reports of small explosions. NSW Fire & Rescue supported by the NSW Police attended the scene and evacuated nearby areas in the park. Power was lost to nearby traffic lights at the intersection of Flood St and Bondi Rd. Energy Australia was called to assist with the power shutdown. The power lines ran the fresh water pumps that feed the Eastern Suburbs reservoir. Water pumping services are not expected to be affected and work is underway to fix the line.
