Sydney harbour hosted the Australian Defence Force with another operation utilising their Blackhawk Helicopter fleet.

Locals were initially greeted by two of Australia’s warships, HMAS Darwin & HMAS Ballarat, arriving home after recent training exercises.

The Blackhawk helicopter training exercise began at around 4.20pm, flying across the harbour and hovering within meters of the “MV Sydney 2000” Captain Cook Cruisers Ship.

After a number of sweeps and close proximity hovers, the training exercise concluded.

The operations are part of an ongoing training regime utilising Sydney as their training ground.

Further training is expected later this evening.
