![]() READ MORE TO VIEW GALLERY & VIDEO A local male resident who was too shy to talk on camera helped save the life of a young lady this morning. At around 10:00am a female wearing a lifejacket, who was believed to be walking on the rocks at Ben Buckler Point in Bondi, was toppled by a large wave. The nearby resident witnessed the accident and came to her rescue. It’s understood that she experienced a near drowning and was taken to the boat ramp on the northern side of the beach to commence first aid. CPR was administered by the resident and lifeguards quickly arrived on scene. She suffered abrasions to her back and lower limbs and also experienced a seizure. Intensive Care Paramedics arrived to support the lifeguards and stabilised the patient. Police Rescue was supported by local police to extricate the lady from the boat ramp to a waiting ambulance. It’s understood the woman was 20 years old and is currently 6 months pregnant. She was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital and is currently in a stable condition.
