At around 8.00pm this evening, it’s understood a 3-year-old female had fallen from the promenade on the southern side of Bronte Beach.

The young child fell approximately three and a half metres onto a rocky area on the beach.

The mother comforted the child until intensive care paramedics arrived to assess and treat the youngster.

A decision to immobilise the childs spine was made to ensure that no further injuries would occur during transport.

An ambulance conveyed the patient to Sydney Children’s Hospital where she will remain overnight for observation. She is said to be in a stable condition.

The accident is believed to have been caused by the child’s misadventure.

Has it occured to this reporter or the onlookers how upset the little girl and mother are about the accident? Having a little girl ourselves, we feel very sorry and sad for the family and shocked how little protection there is for privacy. The article is precise enough, why should people observe a tragic incident in such detail?! Reporters wake up to the reality of human rights for privacy!
