![]() READ MORE TO VIEW VIDEO & GALLERY Police have arrested a man after gun shots were fired inside a home in Leichhardt late last night. At around 11.25pm neighbours contacted triple zero after hearing four to five gun shots. Police rushed to the scene and secured the area and identified the residence where the shots were fired. Ambulance Paramedics were called to standby after neighbours reported hearing screams. Specialist negotiators talked to the male who was inside the premises. After a couple of hours he surrendered himself to police and the operation concluded safely at 1.15am. Police from Leichhardt Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. A handgun was seized by police at the scene and early investigations have suggested that the man fired a number of shots inside the premises. No one was injured in the shooting. A crime scene has been established and will be examined by specialist officers.
