A 19 year old male has died after his life support was turned off. It is alleged that the male was sat on for a prolonged amount of time after he was intruding on the property. Inquires are underway into how he was captured and restrained.

Police attended the scene and revived the male. However it is now clear permanent brain damage occurred.

Further ambulance resources also attended the incident. The male was transported to RPA Hospital.

The Marrickville home in Myrtle St was declared a crime scene with numerous forensic and general duties vehicles attending.

The resident who sat on the male attended a nearby police station for further questioning. Other residents at the scene also gave statements to detectives.
