The suburbs that were targeted include; Georges Hall, Milperra, Chatswood, and Penshurst. Three ATM's actually exploded, littering debris up to one hundred metres away. One ATM failed to explode after the group of men were interupted during the detonation phase. It is reported that one male was holding a firearm, whilst two assisted in loading explosive gas into the atm's.
Detectives and forensic police have been assigned to the case and a strike force has been established to combat this new wave of dangerous crime.
